Cleaning and sanitation is something we take very seriously for the comfort and safety of our guests. Each tank has a powerful built-in filtration and sanitation system, and we also have thorough procedures in place to clean the tank and room in between each use.

After the float tank is used, all high touch areas in the room and float tank are dried and wiped down. They are then wiped again with a disposable sanitizing wipe, sprayed with electrostatic cleaner, and sprayed again with 3% hydrogen peroxide. Of course, all times in the room such as towels, earplugs, etc, are replaced with new and unused items.

For the solution in the float tank itself, we have a vigorous filtration process. The filter is run on a set timer, so that the entire volume of the float tank is run through the filter 4 times. During that time, the sanitation system will use UV light to further sanitize the solution, and while it is aerated with ozone gas. This, combined with the extreme high salinity (between 600 and 1200 pounds of epsom salt, depending on the tank) ensures that nothing biological can grow.

As an extra step, we also add 30% hydrogen peroxide to the tanks every day, so that the level is kept at or above 100ppm, which is the industry standard for sanitation.
